Montpelier Recreation Field is home to the Vermont Mountaineer baseball team, and is located on Elm Street adjacent to the North Branch Park. This recreation field offers swimming, tennis, hiking, baseball fields, a skateboard area and leaning programs for youngsters.
Hubbard Park offers more than 200 acres of the finest land crossed by trails. Hubbard Park roads and trails are a fine jaunt and are open daily. A stone observatory tower in the park provides distant views from the top. In winter, there is cross-country skiing and a fine hill for kids to sled.
